Meeting notes

Feature on video · Length 0:30

It is not the meeting that costs the most time, it is what comes after it. Meeting notes take that part off your hands: you upload the recording and get minutes you read through and correct instead of writing them.

From sound to text

You upload an audio or video file; supported formats include mp3, wav, ogg and webm as well as mp4, mpeg and mov. Before the run you set the space it is filed in and the topic, optionally the language, the style and a template.

Processing then runs in four steps: conversion, transcription with speaker separation, turning it into minutes and extracting the key statements. The status always shows which phase the recording is in.

What you end up with

The result is not running text but structured minutes: title, chapters and sections, plus a table of the key statements – decisions, tasks and open points can be read separately.

Because the recording is transcribed word for word, the summary comes with who said what. That is the part notes written from memory cannot deliver.

So your terms are right

Speech recognition writes technical terms, abbreviations and proper names by ear. So that the minutes use your company’s spelling, meeting notes draw on your personal glossary: enter term and meaning once, and both feed into transcription and minutes.

The finished minutes sit in the chosen space, where your team finds them again – with the same access rules as everything else in that space.

What is said in the video

The spoken text of the video, section by section.

  1. After the meeting the work begins. Two hours of recording, minutes that have to hold up.

  2. Whoever takes notes is not listening. Whoever listens writes it up from memory afterwards.

  3. skai takes the recording and turns it into a transcript, with separated speakers.

  4. Out of that come the minutes: topics, sections, and a table with the key statements.

  5. You read them instead of writing them. And file them where your team finds them again.

  6. Meeting notes in skai. More on our website.
