The glossary

Feature on video · Length 0:29

Every company has words of its own: MRR, SLA, SSO, plus product and customer names. Speech recognition writes them by ear – and the minutes then contain something nobody said. The glossary is the small feature that removes that annoyance.

The personal glossary

In the personal glossary each person maintains their own list of term and meaning. An entry is created through the user menu and the settings; both fields are required, and a term appears only once in your own glossary.

Unlike the organisation’s knowledge this glossary is private and applies only to your own account. It is meant as a reminder about spelling, not as a reference work for others.

Where it takes effect

The entries feed into meeting notes: during transcription and while generating the minutes, skai uses the stored terms and meanings so that technical terms are written and classified correctly.

“Em are are” becomes MRR and “ess ell ay” becomes SLA – without anyone going through the minutes afterwards.

The second glossary in the space

Alongside it there is the glossary as a source type: term-definition pairs as a structured knowledge base belonging to a space. That makes it not a private note but knowledge the AI draws on when answering.

Together the two cover both sides: the right spelling in the minutes and the right meaning in the answer.

What is said in the video

The spoken text of the video, section by section.

  1. Every company has words of its own. Abbreviations, product names, technical terms.

  2. In the minutes they turn into words nobody actually said.

  3. In your personal glossary you enter the term and its meaning. Once, for yourself.

  4. skai uses them while transcribing and while writing the minutes.

  5. And a second glossary sits in the space. From it the AI knows your terms when answering, too.

  6. The glossary in skai. More on our website.
